The Nescafe Dolce Gusto Melody II Single Cup Coffee Maker is the latest version of the Dolce Gusto single serve machines. It allows you to make cappuccinos, espressos, lattes, teas and hot chocolate using Nescafe capsules.
The Melody II has a 15 bar pressure system so that it makes coffee equivalent to that of any coffee bar. You can use one capsule to make iced tea, strong coffee or espresso, or two capsules to make drinks with frothed milk (mochas, cappuccinos, latte macciattos), thanks to the built in milk frother.
The water tank is transparent and has a capacity of 51 ounces (about 9 or 10 medium cups), and the machine heats the water for each cup in about a minute. You can customise the brewing strength using the control lever. The drip tray is adjustable for the size of your cup and you can remove it to clean it. Both the water tank and drip tray can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Finally there is an energy saving switch.
This machine lets you switch between different types of coffee – so you may make a latte, and then insert another capsule and make an espresso. As the name implies, this machine uses Nescafe coffee only – but the coffee capsules and pods are available everywhere. If you love Nescafe coffee, then this is the perfect machine for you.
This machine is made by Krups in the USA. It comes in two colors, black and red, with a one year limited warranty.
